Why Wesley Woods?
Today, older adults from throughout Georgia and the Southeast come to Wesley Woods for expert diagnosis and treatment of health problems, to be cared for with dignity and skill in our long-term nursing facilities, or to enjoy the sociability and comfort of one of our nine retirement communities. We serve all races, faiths and income levels.
Why Specialized Healthcare Is Better Healthcare for Older Adults
Evidence suggests that doctors who specialize in geriatric medicine are much more able to appropriately diagnose and treat the complicated array of medical problems that often affect the older adult. Because seniors tend to take several medications and many times suffer from multiple age-related diseases, geriatricians who treat older adults every day and have experience dealing with these complexities provide better healthcare to older patients. Older patients also often require more extensive nursing care and technologically complex treatments.
What Makes Wesley Woods Retirement Communities Distinct
Wesley Woods has pioneered in making the retirement experience healthy and fulfilling for residents of all income levels, races, and faiths. Across North Georgia, we operate nine comfortable residences that emphasize wellness, socialization, education and personal fulfillment for our residents. Several residences have levels of care that allow residents to “transition in place” as their needs change. As a not-for-profit provider, Wesley Woods provides affordable residential services to older adults. This support makes Wesley Woods different from the many profit-based senior communities that are rapidly being built in our community because at Wesley Woods, we serve people rather than the bottom line.
