Michele A. Obester

Foundation Coordinator

A native of New York City, Michele Obester came to Atlanta soon after graduating from the University of Virginia in 1999 where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology. During her course work she was became actively involved in development of several of the Psychology Department’s research studies. Off campus, she volunteered in the Charlottesville Public School System to provide after care to elementary school aged children. She also spent time as a Special Olympics coach and volunteered in a therapeutic horseback program for children with cerebral palsy.

Michele is currently in the role of Foundation Coordinator for the Foundation of Wesley Woods. Her main responsibilities include the production of all fundraising events, coordination of the Board of Directors and working closely with the CEO on daily company operations.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Michele was a Corporate Manager for an International Recruiting firm where she led the Corporate Services Department. Her areas of responsibility included corporate events/ incentives; design and implantation of training programs; and corporate real estate.

Michele resides in Decatur with her husband, John. When she isn’t busy chasing after her young son, Alexander, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants and traveling.
